Things to Look Forward to
What You'll See & Do
Join me for a nice and refreshing hike around the famous Montserrat Mountain. We will head out together from the Benedictine monastery to the beautiful encounters of this natural park.
As a professional mountain leader, I have various hiking routes available to suit everyone’s appetite. Hiking is not about reaching the summit as fast as possible. We will certainly do plenty of breaks to focus on details and to admire the spectacular views.
We will also chat about Catalan culture, food, some common plants, and their uses. We shall keep our eyes wide open because, with a bit of luck, we might bump into the ‘Alpine Ibex’, a wild mountain goat that loves the steep bits around the mountain.
When we return down from the mountain we will stroll through the monastery and visit the Basilica. The visit to Montserrat would not be complete without seeing the majestic monastery and the Black Saint Virgin – La Moreneta.
On the way out from the Monastery, we will stop at the small farmer’s market and try some delicious locally produced cheeses, honey, and more. Cris and Jonathan from the Can Fermí farmhouse will give us loads of tasters and explain how different cheeses are made.
