Barcelona attractions are best visited by foot or bike. This is because there are beautiful things to see at every corner. In our previous blogs we talked about similar things do to, however, this list of things to do is of the typical, famous attractions, the we think, shouldn’t be missed.

Barcelona Attractions

Barcelona is filled with sights and attractions at each corner. There are so many attractions that you will need a few days to see them all. Here are a few attractions you should see on day one. Also, these attractions are in the order that you should visit them to walk as little as possible:

First on the list is Sagrada Familia. This beautiful cathedral is something that should be on your list of Barcelona attractions. The mesmerizing architecture makes it the top choice of travelers. The tour takes about one hour and has several, though not cheap, options for guided tours within.

At about 20 minutes of walking away, you will find Casa Mila. You may also find it under the name La Pedrera. This was originally designed as an apartment building by Antoni Gaudi. Today however, it is a UNESCO world heritage site. This is a truly unique apartment building.

Casa Batllo is on the same street as Casa Mila. Another typical Gaudi design. The amazing architecture of this unusual building is really impressive.

Casa Amatller stands together with Casa Batllo and is another attraction you should consider visiting. The ticket price may be $95 but some find it really worth it.

Casa Lleo Morera is just a minute away and is one of the three building that make the Block of Discord. The unique building is well known for its architectural design created by Lluis Domenech I Montaner. It takes just 15 minutes to visit this amazing building.

Placa de Catalunya is eight minutes away and it is a large square and at the borders it is surrounded by historical buildings. This is the perfect place to relax on a bench while admiring the surroundings.

La Rambla is a boulevard right in the center of Barcelona. The middle of the boulevard is designed for pedestrians. While on the sides there are many historical buildings and cafés where you can enjoy a cold drink.

La Boqueria is a huge indoor market filled with all kinds of delicious fruits and local delights. If you want to feast your eyes on exotic fruits that you have never seen before, this is the place to go.

Placa Reial is just eight minutes of walking away. You may also find it under the name of Royal Square and it takes about 30 minutes to visit. In this place there was a monastery which burnt down. The plans of building a theater were then canceled and then it was decided to build this beautiful square.

Palau Guell Is just around the corner of Placa Reial. It is a beautiful mansion designed by the all known architect Antoni Gaudi. Today it is a UNESCO site and it takes about one hour to visit.

Columbus Monument Is the last thing to visit for the day. It is a monument entirely dedicated to Christopher Columbus as a tribute for discovering America.
